Hi, I’m Alexandra.
I’m a writer, artist, and storyteller.
Growing up with an English Teacher who minored in Shakespeare for a mother, and a fan of all things Sci-Fi and Fantasy for a father, stories were at the heart of my childhood. I spent my weekends growing up between the shelves at Barnes & Noble from open until close. But it wasn’t until I was 12 years old when my dad handed me a particular book that would change everything - The Chronicles of Narnia. I inhaled it. Soon, I started opening closet doors, pantries, and scouring neighbors basements for secret worlds. It wasn’t a hunt to escape that I sought, it was a potential discovery of another life. Of adventure and magic. Only, I didn’t realize then that I wouldn’t find magic inside a dusty wardrobe. I would learn that these beautiful worlds didn’t exist beyond trains or mirrors.
It was the books themselves that were magical.
To this day, I love books and everything associated with them almost to the point of obsession. The smell of paper, the crisp sound of turning a page, analyzing the font choice, the character names, the map art, the sound of keys striking on a typewriter, you name it! With my own collection of over 800, I’m well on my way to establishing my own library! I would love to build an empire of my own and other work one day, publishing a collection that makes people smile, laugh, cry, and hope. Ideas come naturally to me and so I accept the challenge of building my own Narnia.
I moved to the Portland Metro area of Oregon in 2017 and instantly fell in love with the beautiful PNW. It’s the perfect backdrop to build my literary empire. My parents are itchy nomads, so I’ve lived in Miami, Philly, Hawaii, and Los Angeles. But nowhere else makes me feel like home like Portland —The City of Roses, Bridges, and Books.
I quit my day job 3 years ago and have written 5 books since, with many on the back burner! On a typical day, you can catch me at a cafe in Portland writing, at home plotting, or curled up consuming other artists’ stories. For now, I continue to revise, edit, and write stories. Hopefully soon, I can finally share my worlds with you all.

fun facts
Architect or Gardener? Both! If I dive in without a plan, I’ll write a complicated Frankensteinian monster with too many ideas, genres, and motivations. If I plan too much, the process becomes very rigid and my characters get trapped. I prefer to spend time upfront world-building, and then I write. I'm discovering the characters that would live in that world and writing their story as it comes to me.
Tea or Coffee? I’m a tea drinker - the only one in my whole family! I can’t drink coffee :/ It makes me vibrate through time… :|
Beach or Mountain? I can’t decide! I’m grounded and love gardening, hiking, camping, and snowboarding! The beach makes me emotional. It’s intense, chaotic, unpredictable, yet refreshing and cleansing. I love sailing and swimming. My heart loves the ocean's depths, but my soul craves the mountain’s peak.
Favorite Books: Seminal —> Chronicles of Narnia, but also… Foundation by Isaac Asimov, Rogue Angel by Alex Archer, Red Rising by Pierce Brown, The Great Alone by Kristen Hannah, The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman, A Psalm For The Wild-Built by Becky Chambers, Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir, The Harry Potter series, Eragon, and so many more…
Favorite movies: Black Swan, Hellboy, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Treasure Planet, Atlantis, The Mummy, Tomb Raider, Inception, The Dark Knight trilogy, and anything dark fantasy or sci-fi!

Favorite things? The smell of paper, typewriters, libraries, reorganizing my book collection, wandering through a used bookstore, roses, analog watches, running, going to the movies, tea lattes, brunch with my besties, traveling with my husband, gloomy mornings, castles and cottages, sunny days on the beach, the feel of sand between my toes (sorry Anakin), the smell of a forest after rain, winter days in a cabin with a cup of hot cocoa, Halloween and autumn trees…and books of course!
